Top summer holiday phucket beaches

With so many excellent beaches and resorts in Phuket it was never going to be easy and the debate continues to be furious. Whilst we don't have a precise formula, many different factors happen to be taken into account such as the quality of the sand around the beaches, the intimacy from the beaches, the facilities and uniqueness from the hotel, the clarity and hue of the sea and snorkelling and watersports potential and others. Whichever way you look at it there are several fantastic resorts on our list.

Check out following best phuket beaches for summer holiday:

Karon: Karon is a few minutes by tuk tuk from Patong and one of Phuket’s most favoured family friendly locations. It also features two of the best family friendly hotels on the island, namely Movenpick Resort & Spa and Centara Grand Beach Resort.

Karon beach: Karon beach is the second largest beach of Phuket. It is one of the best tourist attraction in Phuket with only two rows of sun beds, so it’s not deep, but it is one of the longest beaches on the island. This beach is not as crowded as Patong beach. Luxury hotels and resorts are just a few steps away from the beach. Karon is home to the Dino Park mini golf located south of the beach and it also has good spots for children snorkeling

Patong beach: Patong is the party capital of Phuket with lots of bars and nightclubs. Plenty of sun beds are available here, beachwear, beers and towels can also be bought without even having to leave your sun bed. This beach is crowded in high season but to find the clear water, head to the north end of the bay. This beach is not just for swimming, water sports and activities such as jet Skiing and parasailing can be done here, and if you are tired of all these things you can have a Thai massage on the beach, under a bamboo hut or on your own sun bed.

Bangtao Beach: Just below or to the south of Nai Yang is Bangtao Beach, Phuket’s second longest at 8 kilometers. This is still a fairly relaxed area, but not entirely as secluded as the beaches mentioned above. It is close to a charming little village and also not far from Thailand’s own Disneyland called the Phuket Fantasea, a fantastic family entertainment venue. The area in general is great for families and limited water sport activity on part of the beach is available.
